All her life, Adila thought she knew the history of her birthplace, the desert kingdom of Qatyu. As a university scholar, she's studied the books, the papers, wrote the reports, has seen countless maps and through it all, she thought there was little left to understand about the Qatyu's history. Yet sealed away in a forgotten corner of one of the university's restricted buildings was the one thing that started unraveling all of what she thought she knew of the beginnings of her home, a gem. A gem that talks and floats and who claims to have been betrayed, and that because they're now free, is looking to set things right.

This is a 2D pixel art, puzzle-platformer game that follows the main character, Adila, as she's roped into helping a mysterious entity trapped in a gem to right a wrong from a time Adila has only heard about from the books that line the university's library halls. Following the gem, she traverses the land that she calls home and is reminded what has become of it over the past hundreds of years. As she travels far into the sea of sand and rock, she watches as new discoveries fill in the gaps of what she thought was the past, just like the sand underneath her feet.

Created by myself, this is a class project I had a lot of fun making, and for my first time creating a game in general (much less one in Unity), while not perfect, I'm glad to see how it turned out.
